Technology and Impact
I have just spent a week waking the beautiful countryside of Shropshire and Cheshire and loved it. As I sit on the train on my first day back I began thinking. Whether you believe in global warming or not, we are damaging our environment. Plastic in oceans, pollution in cities, chemicals in water supplies. No wonder some of our youth protest. So, as advocates of technology are we doing enough to support growing economies in avoiding the messy mistakes we made? Are we proactive in reversing the damage we have done?
Pope Francis has just declared 1st September a day of prayer for creation. What should we do?
One possibility is to support the upcoming conference in October run jointly by the Council for Subject Associations and the British Council looking at how education can better inform our learners. TPEA will be there.
What else can we do?
